How difficult is it to get on the commissioned nursing program in the Air Force/Army?

The Air Force program only has fifty slots per year for this and I am not sure what the Army has but it is very competitive and difficult to get into that program in the Air Force. I would talk to some recruiters and see what they might say and pay close attention to how many slots the Army might have and I am not even sure if they have a program like the Air Force has for this. I did strat and tacitcal aeromed the first twenty-three years of my thirty-four year career and only met maybe two flight nurses that were selected for that program and were commissioned through it after completing it.
