How to lower my motorcycle insurance?

How can I go about lowering my motorcycle insurance? This will be my first motorcycle, gsxr 600 and they are looking to charge me 300+ a month. It seems pretty crazy, and I am just looking for any way to cut down on the cost. I have completed a safety course, not an MSF course, although I plan on taking one of those as well, and I am active duty military. I am only 18 and being my first motorcycle, they seem to be trying to soak me on the cost, so any help would be appreciated.
