Can baby oil be used in the same way as mineral oil, like to clean?

Someone suggested I clean my vintage cast iron motorcycle with mineral oil, can that hurt paint, and is baby oil just as safe? (i have some baby oil around and dont what to purchase mineral oil also if it does the same thing
